Hmmmm What should come next??!!

I am really new to the whole blogging world, I mean I have my life posted on facebook for my friends and family to see but all my timeline info seems to get lost with each friends post on my wall. Don't get me wrong I love each and everyone of my facebook friends and wouldn't want a facebook account without them! But I figured that starting a blog would be a good way to scrapbook my life and family without all the extra posts that aren't mine. Now that I have started a blog I find myself constantly thinking about what my next blog will be! I am addicted already and my blog has only been up for less than 24 hours!!! All night last night I was trying to figure out if my next blog post should be an introduction of me (did some of that in my first post) or should I do it about my husband or should I do it on both of us! So I decided to do a lil of all 3:) Sorry guys I just could decide! So here goes:)

Lets start with my Husband. His name is Jimmy (James) Kirk and he is 29 years old. You will learn that he HATES to have his picture taken so the ones that I do have are just random pics. We try to go once a year to have family pics taken but we didn't get to go last November. We have scheduled to go with in the next couple of weeks so be ready for some updated GOOD pics of us!! He has a number of skills that he has learned over the years. I guess you can call him a Jack of all trades. He can put up above or in ground pools as he did that for about 5 years. He worked in a cabinet shop for about 6 years so he can build just about anything I want! Which works out GREAT for me because every cabinet, shelf, dresser, and even my computer desk was built and installed by him! YES that saved us TONS of money!!! He is also quiet fluent in construction. So needless to say he is always doing side jobs to earn extra money for our household:) He is also the typical small town man and loves to go fishing, hunting. So we are gun owners but we have them safely locked up in a nice gun cabinet that my husband built:)  My husbands background was pretty rough and he was a true bad boy in every sense of the word. He is not the same man that I met almost 11 years ago because he has changed in so many good ways!! He is the best dad my kids could ever ask for and the best husband I could ask for. Now I won't say that he can't but a butt head or a jerk every now and then and that we don't have our disagreements because we do. Anyone that tries to portray a perfect marriage I tend to stay away from because EVERYONE has problems! I don't care where you live or how much money you make EVERYONE has problems! Marriage is a full time job and we are still working on the kinks in ours. But I am happy to be in this 24/7 job with him.

Ok now a lil about myself:) As you know I am 33 years old as of Oct. 1st. I was born in Oklahoma but raised in Texas for most of my life. I went to School in Princeton Texas from 5th grade till my senior where we then moved back to Oklahoma and I finished my senior year at Roff High School. Let me tell ya that was a HUGE shell shock for me! My graduating class in Texas was like 200 or more but my graduating class here was 24!!! Yeah that took a lil getting use to!! Anyway I graduated in 1999 and married my 1st husband in 2000. That didn't last long we divorced shortly after my oldest son was born and haven't seen or heard from him since. My son was about 6 months old when I met Jimmy. He was my brother's best friend. We got together in 2002 and have been together every since. I worked at Solo Cup in Ada until my oldest daughter came along in 2004 and from then on I have been a stay at home mom. With the cost of childcare it was more cost effective for me to stay home. I spend most of my days volunteering in my kids classes and going to school activities. I dabble in crafts and when I get a craft bug it hits me hard! I have made things form decorative signs for the home to my kids Halloween Costumes! I made my daughter a Jessie costume last year that was too cute!! I will have to post pics of that cause it turned out WAY cute! I will also be going hunting with my husband for the first time this year!! I am so excited I can't wait to take down my first deer!! As you can tell we are big meat eaters and we love deer meat ESPECIALLY deer jerky!! I am also on a weight loss journey which I have been very successful!! In the last 5 months I have went from 222lbs to 195lbs which is AWESOME!! I still have a lil ways to go but my goal is to be at 160lbs by Christmas:) I can do this!!! Since all of my kids are now in school I have started walking! I just did a 5k mud run for the It's a Child's life Foundation called the Orphan Love Mud Run!! That was the most AWESOME and challenging experience!! I finished the 5k in 1 hour and 10 minutes! By the time I got to run it was raining like crazy so by the time I was done I was muddy from head to toe! It was so worth it though and I plan on doing more!! I can't wait to share more of my weight loss story with you as it happens!

Now here is a lil bit about me and my husband together as a whole because if we weren't a whole we wouldn't have made it as far as we have. So lets start with something that I bet not many of you have ever heard or even thought about before! My maiden name is Kirk which is also my married name...... wait for it..... My husbands MAIDEN name is Jones and his married name is Kirk.........Wait!!! Ok you remember me saying that my husbands childhood was pretty bad, well I won't go into a lot of details in that area cause my husband is a pretty private person and he doesn't really like it when I rant on facebook when we are having an argument  so I am thinking he wouldn't like me telling all the details of his childhood but I will say there were drugs, and foster care in his past. So needless to say he had come so far when we had gotten married that he didn't want to carry on that name and he wanted a fresh start with his new life and new family. So instead of me taking his last name he took mine, by his choice. It actually shocked me that he wanted to do that but it was his idea. To make it more perfect he went to my Dad and asked him if it would be ok if he took our name instead. There is some background history between my Dad and my Husband and maybe I will go into that in a later blog but not right now. Lets just say they had a rough start in our relationship but by that point he was no longer that bad boy and my Dad was happy to welcome in another son and that is exactly what he told my husband.  Me and my husband are a perfect match:) We joke and laugh all the time and pick on each other.  We do disagree on punishments for the kids, he thinks I am too harsh and I think he is a push over and usually those rolls are reversed but not in this house LMAO!!! But it works for us. But there is one thing you will learn about is pretty quickly!! We may live in Oklahoma BUT we are Longhorns fans ALL THE WAY!!! HOOK'EM HORNS!!!  Now as far as house cleaning and how we do that..... He helps with EVERYTHING!! I couldn't have asked for a better husband in that department!!! But I will say that he is also VERY anal about the house cleaning if he comes home and I have had a lazy day he will come right in and start cleaning! Which makes me feel bad because he works in the oil field and has a very physically demanding job and he shouldn't be coming home and cleaning house. But if your a stay at home mom you know that there are days that you just have the "DON'T WANT TOO'S". But for the most part I try to keep the house clean and that is a bit easier now that ALL the kids are in school. He is the money spender and yes is like any typical man and wants his man toys! LOL!! But I am the budgeting queen and he usually gets told no because we are on a tight budget and every dollar coming in and out is accounted for. But he usually gets what he wants eventually and in turn he usually gives me what I want eventually:)  Other than our 4 kids we have 4 pets. We have 2 chihuahua's a guinea pig, and a pot belly pig. YES I said a potbelly pig! I will go into more on that in a later blog.

Needless to say we have a pretty full family and we are CRAZY busy 99.9% of the time but we are loving every minute of it!! Most of the time we are pretty boring like any typical family on a tight budget but we do get to do some fun things with our kiddos. It may not be as often as some people but it just helps us to appreciate it more when we get to do fun things. I will blog about all the fun things we do with our kiddos and post pics as well:) I hope that everyone enjoys hearing about our crazy busy life!
